What will you do with the gift of time, tell me how will you decide to use it?
Will you spend it with those you love, take time to stop, reflect or abuse it?
Will you give thanks for the gift of life, the gentle rise and fall of your chest?
Will you remember what you’ve learnt,and how you were just doing your best?
Will you do things you only dreamt of, ring fence time for the things you love?
Will you remember to smell the flowers, and look up at the beautiful sky above?
Will you spend time with an elderly relative, or someone you haven’t seen in a while?
Will you remember to say a kind word,stop frowing, be present and smile?
I don’t need to give you the gift of time, it’s something you’ve possessed all along
