Life

Poem about Life by Leanne Flower

Have you ever lost someone close, someone special, someone who really mattered?

Have you attended a funeral, watched a burial or been responsible for ashes scattered?

Then you, my friend, are very blessed knowing that nothing stays in our life forever

Things and people are just passing through, and that is a fact we have to weather

But that’s your gift, your blessing, the lesson you have been privileged to receive

You know how precious life is, not a moment to be wasted, good things to believe

You no longer take people or things for granted, and never let friendships lapse

You give thanks for the rise and setting of the sun, and fresh water in your taps

You stop and tell people you love them, you compliment, and tell people you care

You make time for those who matter and your words of love are frequent not rare

Whilst the game of life is harsh and the lesson can be unbearable for a while

Remember that life is a gift, meant to be enjoyed, it’s okay to keep your smile.
